Projects > ALI / CLI Landform Conversion
Caslys converted existing Alberta Land Inventory (ALI) and Canada Land Inventory (CLI) landform line work into a seamless, attributed polygonal dataset for numerous map sheets in the North Saskatchewan and Upper Athabasca planning regions. This involved cleaning georeferenced .TIF images and then vectorizing the line work. The landform polygons were then integrated with the province’s polygonal hydrological features and closed to map sheet boundaries and the Alberta Township grid. The polygons were attributed with terrain labels to form a base suitable for land use planning and wildlife habitat mapping initiatives.
